Dear Sir/Madam,<br/><br/>
NOTIFICATION OF COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT <br/>
We, Attributor Corporation, have been authorized by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to protect copyright of ISO standards, in particular to search the web for ISO standards that have been illegally posted. Please note that copyright ownership of ISO is clearly indicated on each ISO standard. REQUEST<br/>
We invite you to respect ISO's copyright and REQUEST THAT YOU IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE ISO STANDARD FROM YOUR WEBSITE. Please note that we will verify within a few days whether you complied with our request. At this stage, ISO reserves all its rights. <br/><br/>

BECOME AN ISO CLIENT<br/>

Subject der Mail lautete "Serious Copyright Infringement of An ISO (International Organization for Standardization) English Standard".<br/>
GELD! Was zur Hölle?! Einfach Flagge hissen und gut is. <br/>
<b>Information wants to be free!</b><br/><br/>
Keine Sorge, die Datei ist nicht verschwunden. Hat sich nur einen anderen "Verweilort" gegönnt. Ich sag nur folgendes: <br/>
<b>&amp;key=ThisIsSkyNet</b><br/>

        <p>So as you see, the <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bebop_scale">bebop dominant</a> scale is a <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octatonic_scale">octatonic</a>, so with 8 notes, scale.
It is basically a <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_scale">major</a> scale with an <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minor_seventh">minor seventh</a> added. But you could also look
        at it like a <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mixolydian">mixolydian</a> scale with an <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_seventh">major seventh</a> added.</p>
<p>As I play the guitar, the D <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bebop_scale">bebop dominant</a> scale is quite handy. I like it as
        I can play the wonderful powerchord progression G5 F#5 E5, but I also can play a C5.
This is why I like the D <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bebop_scale">bebop dominant</a> scale. If you look at it, you see that
        you have two <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tritone">tritones</a> in it. From 3 - b7 and from 4 - 7. So in the D <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bebop_scale">bebop dominant</a>
        scale: F# - C and G - C#, which is also quite handy for metal guitar players.</p></div>

    <title>Communication made complex</title>
<summary type="xhtml"><div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Communication is something, that everybody needs. But I don’t want to talk about
the absurdity of language but about the complexity of the setup of my
communication network. This is so, because I want to ensure my privacy. Also I
want to use this on every machine I own, so I don’t have to go through the
        configuration process every time.</p>
<p>I’ve made an network diagram to explain it:</p>
        <img alt="/img/Communication_Network.png" class="align-center" src="http://themetalgamer.x303.cc/img/Communication_Network.png"/>
<p>As you see, in this diagram I use 3 machines. First my desktop pc, named Evolution.
Secondly, Darwin, my laptop, and Tortuga my raspberry pi, which is the server.</p>
        <p>On the raspberry, I have <a class="reference external" href="http://wiki.znc.in/ZNC"><span class="caps">ZNC</span></a>, an <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRC"><span class="caps">IRC</span></a> bouncer, and <a class="reference external" href="http://www.bitlbee.org/main.php/news.r.html">BitlBee</a>, an <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XMPP"><span class="caps">XMPP</span></a> to <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRC"><span class="caps">IRC</span></a>
        gateway, running.</p>
        <p>First of all, I configured <a class="reference external" href="http://www.bitlbee.org/main.php/news.r.html">BitlBee</a>, to connect to my 4 <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XMPP"><span class="caps">XMPP</span></a> servers. All these
connection use <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Sockets_Layer"><span class="caps">SSL</span></a>, to ensure my privacy, but I also use <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Off-the-Record_Messaging"><span class="caps">OTR</span></a> on them to encrypt
        my messages. <a class="reference external" href="http://www.bitlbee.org/main.php/news.r.html">BitlBee</a> also connect to Twitter and identi.ca via <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oauth">OAuth</a>, but I don’t
        use them.</p>
        <p>Then I’ve configured <a class="reference external" href="http://wiki.znc.in/ZNC"><span class="caps">ZNC</span></a>, to connect to 5 <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IRC"><span class="caps">IRC</span></a> servers, also via <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Sockets_Layer"><span class="caps">SSL</span></a>. Even if the
        <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Sockets_Layer"><span class="caps">SSL</span></a> connection to <a class="reference external" href="http://www.bitlbee.org/main.php/news.r.html">BitlBee</a> is useless, but I thought why not?</p>
        <p>Last but not least, I’ve configured <a class="reference external" href="http://weechat.org">Weechat</a> to connect to my <a class="reference external" href="http://wiki.znc.in/ZNC"><span class="caps">ZNC</span></a>, also via <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Sockets_Layer"><span class="caps">SSL</span></a>.
I could optimize this by installing <a class="reference external" href="http://weechat.org">Weechat</a> on my raspberry pi and then connect via
        <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Shell"><span class="caps">SSH</span></a>.</p>
<p>Well, there maybe some negative points in this setup. One is mainly, that I
        don’t have tested if file transfer over <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XMPP"><span class="caps">XMPP</span></a> works. I know that <a class="reference external" href="http://www.bitlbee.org/main.php/news.r.html">BitlBee</a> supports
it, but I see the problem in this specific setup, as all of this is running on
        my server.</p>
<p>Another problem is, that I’m marked as online in <a class="reference external" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XMPP"><span class="caps">XMPP</span></a>, even if I’m not there, but
        I’ve used here a simple solution. <a class="reference external" href="http://wiki.znc.in/ZNC"><span class="caps">ZNC</span></a> is sending a automessage, if I’m not connected
to it. Some people don’t like this behaviour, but I don’t bother.</p>
        <p>See you soon, the_metalgamer</p></div>

    <title>Rindfleisch Nudelwok</title>
    <summary type="xhtml"><div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p><img align="middle" alt="Rindfleisch nudelwok" height="450" src="http://www.wuala.com/de/api/preview/Perforin/Images/rindfleisch-nudelpfanne.jpeg/" width="450"/></p>
<p>Heute gibs mal was vom Chinesen! Warum?
<p>Was brauche ich?</p>
<ul><li>Eiernudeln ( 250g )</li>
<li>Reisessig</li>
<li>Dunkle Sojasauce</li>
<li>Hoisin Sauce</li>
<li>Sambal Oelek</li>
<li>Nasi Goreng</li>
<li>Salz</li>
<li>Pfeffer</li>
<li>Rindfleisch ( 300g )</li>
<li>Zwiebel</li>
<li>Knoblauchzehe</li>
<li>Kokosmilch</li>
<p>Guten Appetit!</p>
<p><em><strong>Tipp:</strong></em></p>
<blockquote>

    <title>What Inspiration can ArsElectronica09 be to a Hackerspace?</title>
<summary type="xhtml"><div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqZHHNmu2DI/AAAAAAAAADI/WnkDrpG1xd8/s1600-h/CIMG3946.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379064994177407026" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqZHHNmu2DI/AAAAAAAAADI/WnkDrpG1xd8/s400/CIMG3946.JPG" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;"/></a><br/><br/>The 5:16pm train brought me back from Linz/Upper-Austria yesterday. It also brought some blisters, exhausted legs and an innumerable array of impressions from Ars Electronica 2009, some of which I'll try to relay in this blogpost.<br/><br/>I bought a daypass on Sunday, which might or might not have paid off, I'm not quite sure.. 33€ is quite a lot of money, especially when the train ticket already cost you a hundred bucks. To anyone going to Ars in 2010 I suggest to buy a festival pass, spend at least 3 days on the various exhibitions and talks and prepare yourself a schedule (because theirs clearly sucked).<br/><br/><span style="font-size: 180%;">Ars Electronica Center (AEC)</span><br/><span style="font-size: 130%;">The labs</span><br/>The Ars electronica center clearly has an abundant array of interesting stuff sitting around. With their Fab-, Brain-, and Bio-labs on the -3 floor, they touch a broad variety of subjects, from cyborgs via sensor-enhanced art to 3D printers and lasercutters. This is actually somewhat like MIT's Medialab in Boston, only that this is clearly more exhibition-focused and less a working space. And clearly a lot smaller.<br/><br/><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY5C_-JZ4I/AAAAAAAAABw/VUUZYzRq0zk/s1600-h/CIMG3804.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379049528635254658" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY5C_-JZ4I/AAAAAAAAABw/VUUZYzRq0zk/s400/CIMG3804.JPG" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;"/></a>The picture above is a web made of wire straps.<br/><br/><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY5eEkcquI/AAAAAAAAAB4/WjftfcLlqoQ/s1600-h/CIMG3821.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379049993726110434" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY5eEkcquI/AAAAAAAAAB4/WjftfcLlqoQ/s400/CIMG3821.JPG" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;"/></a><br/>The sculpture in the above picture does actually sense when you go near it and it reacts by moving its various "body"-parts.<br/><br/><span style="font-size: 130%;">Knock! Music Program</span> (by Novmichi Tosa)<br/>The second floor actually has some cool hands-on stuff that you can't actually touch, which is sad. But anyway, the Knock music machine is a pretty cool concept of an semi-electric music instrument. There were several components to it, the picture below is just one of them.<br/>I actually found <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGOPoa164ZY">a couple of youtube videos</a> of the machine in action. I just hope you understand some japanese ;) (Another resource I found is <a href="http://www.maywadenki.com/blog/?cat=5">Novmichi's sketchblog</a>.)<br/><br/><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY53-MBAcI/AAAAAAAAACA/PnqAO010Ngo/s1600-h/CIMG3829.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379050438689620418" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY53-MBAcI/AAAAAAAAACA/PnqAO010Ngo/s400/CIMG3829.JPG" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;"/></a><br/><span style="font-size: 130%;">loopScape<span style="font-size: 100%;"> (by Ryota Kuwakubo)</span></span><br/>Another great thing on the second floor was obviously <span style="font-weight: bold;">loopScape</span>. In contrast to ordinary computer games, this is one where you actually have to move around the "screen", which is made out of leds. Steering your fighter-jet with a wireless controller, your goal is to shoot down the enemy's fighter. To get all of the action, you can't stand still but have to move around to actually see everything that is happening in this fast-paced game.<br/><br/><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY6lqMpQtI/AAAAAAAAACI/K4TeuycFO78/s1600-h/CIMG3835.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379051223597531858" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY6lqMpQtI/AAAAAAAAACI/K4TeuycFO78/s400/CIMG3835.JPG" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;"/></a><br/><br/><span style="font-size: 130%;">Quartet</span><br/>Quartet is a huge machine that produces sounds from resonating wine-glasses and golf-balls being projected onto wooden xylophone bars. I hope I managed to capture some of that motion in my still.<br/><br/><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY7B-H_W9I/AAAAAAAAACQ/lZ7a-weksHY/s1600-h/CIMG3864.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379051709983054802" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY7B-H_W9I/AAAAAAAAACQ/lZ7a-weksHY/s400/CIMG3864.JPG" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;"/></a><br/><br/><span style="font-size: 180%;">Höhenrausch</span><br/>Höhenrausch was an exhibition above the roofs of Linz. Walking on a wooden structure, you get from exhibit to exhibit while having a grandiose view over the city. You could even take a ride in a Ferris wheel.<br/><br/><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY7q4hnGbI/AAAAAAAAACY/owlnYJ6Tc8A/s1600-h/CIMG3880.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379052412854540722" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY7q4hnGbI/AAAAAAAAACY/owlnYJ6Tc8A/s400/CIMG3880.JPG" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;"/></a><br/><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY_ZUqZeWI/AAAAAAAAACo/xd76BsgYd3M/s1600-h/CIMG3892.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379056509216455010" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY_ZUqZeWI/AAAAAAAAACo/xd76BsgYd3M/s400/CIMG3892.JPG" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;"/></a><br/><br/><p style="clear: both;">One exhibit was really awesome! If you stood below the sprinklers with an umbrella, you'd hear 8-bit music as produced by the frequency of the water being released. The umbrella's tissue serves as a simple membrane and produces astonishingly clear sounds.</p><br/><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY957i3_II/AAAAAAAAACg/o6fYyETopo8/s1600-h/CIMG3885.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379054870386441346" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY957i3_II/AAAAAAAAACg/o6fYyETopo8/s400/CIMG3885.JPG" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;"/></a><br/><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY_xsizoTI/AAAAAAAAACw/Vqo8bBjKRM0/s1600-h/CIMG3894.JPG"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379056927943926066" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_KbVybxMMD3I/SqY_xsizoTI/AAAAAAAAACw/Vqo8bBjKRM0/s400/CIMG3894.JPG" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;"/></a><br/><br/><p style="clear: both;"><span style="font-size: 180%;">Cyberarts Festival</span><br/><span style="font-size: 130%;">Tantalum Memorial - Residue (<a href="http://mediashed.org/TantalumMemorial">website</a>)</span><br/>Relay station for a social phone network used by the congolese diaspora in London.<br/>And yes, though this thing is not your most recent <span style="font-weight: bold;">asterisk pbx</span>, it actually worked and was relaying calls for people on that network. From the project's website:<br/></p><blockquote>"'Tantalum Memorial' is a series of telephony-based memorials by the artists group Harwood, Wright, Yokokoji, to the people who have died as a result of the “coltan wars” in the Congo. The installation is constructed out of electromagnetic Strowger switches – the basis of the first automatic telephone exchange invented in 1888.
